This Frame TV wall mount in Beacon Hill, on the Northern Beaches, was for a 55-inch Samsung The Frame. The whole point of a Frame is that it looks like a piece of art on the wall. So the last thing you want is a cable trailing down to a power point underneath it.
Why a Frame TV Wall Mount Needs a Different Approach to Cabling
Older Samsung Frame TVs, like this one, run off a separate One Connect box. All your devices plug into the box, and one slim cable joins it to the TV. Samsung made that cable as slim as possible, but it still has to go somewhere. On a plain wall with no shelving to hide it behind, that means running it inside the wall cavity.
Samsung has changed this for 2026. Most of the new standard Frame range from 55 inches up has the connections in the TV itself instead. You can see the current models on Samsung Australia’s Frame page.
Hiding the One Connect Cable in the Wall in Beacon Hill
For this job, I ran the One Connect cable down through the wall, from behind the TV to a point near the cabinet below. Now there’s nothing visible between the TV and the wall. With the One Connect box tucked out of sight, the TV looks like it’s floating on the wall. That’s exactly the effect a Frame should give.
Planning the Full Look on a Samsung Frame
A Frame takes a bit more planning than a standard TV. You’re working out cable paths for the power and the One Connect lead, not just power and HDMI. It’s worth checking this before you commit to a spot on the wall, especially if there’s no nearby cabinet to run things through.
I’ve written about how I choose the TV height with customers. Photos of your wall and power point before I come out help too. There’s a full list in what to have ready before your installer arrives.
If you ever move house, take the One Connect cable with you. It’s specific to the Frame and isn’t easy to replace. I’ve covered this in what to do with your TV bracket when you move out.
