Job Description: Wall mounting and installation of Samsung’s “The Frame”
My customer purchased Samsung’s newly released “The Frame” Ultra HD television which when wall mounted hangs on the wall like a piece of art work.
The “The Frame” comes with a supplied wall mounting bracket and stand in the box. There is also a studio stand that can be purchased separately. My customer who is a professional photographer wanted the tv to be wall mounted and as flush to the wall without seeing any of the cables so this was very important to her.
The idea behind Samsung’s “The Frame” is that it is a normal smart television, then when the tv is not is use it turns into a piece of art work. The Frame displays custom designed digital art pieces or your own personal photos. Choices included landscape, architecture, wildlife, action, drawing and more. This is controlled via an app on the customers mobile phone.
The television has a motion sensor that turns the television off when you leave the room to save power and will then turn back on when you return. It also has a brightness sensor which will adjust the brightness of the screen to match the piece of artwork.
There are 3 frame options available – white, beige wood and walnut to suit most decor.
I was able to hide the power cable and the “clear cable connection” that connects to the “One Connect” in the wall to give a nice clean professional look.
The tv was then connected to the Sonos Playbar and Apple TV.
