The customer wanted the TV centred on the wall — which meant the fixing points on the TV’s bracket didn’t land on a stud on either side. With a 75-inch screen, that’s not something to work around casually; a TV that size needs to be properly secured, not just anchored into plasterboard. Rather than compromise on position, I used a slim-profile bracket that sits about a centimetre off the wall, which gave enough width to span across and fix into two studs properly. It keeps the TV close to the wall while making sure all that weight is carried safely, not resting on hope.
